First Singing Performance

The kids are in a singing group and on Dec. 1st they had their first performance. It was a HOOT! I have TWO extremes. L. is a little "show" girl, she was not shy, in fact after she sang her solo she thought it was a good idea to run around the stage. Then the younger girls started to follow her! You can kinda see the story of pictures below. I was so embarrassed! Her teacher had to keep rounding her up and putting her back in line. K. on the other hand, had major stage fright! He did not even sing, he had his finger in his mouth the whole time. When his teacher came to him with the mic he ran off stage! WOW it was an eventful night!

I could not get one picture of both of them where one of their eyes were not closed.
Singing her solo.

Still standing in line.

Starting to play a little, but still in line.

Trying to get her teachers attention!

Realizing her teacher is busy.

There she goes!

After running around the stage, she thought this would be a good time to take a breathier.

K. was looking for his teacher. He did not want to be left alone!

When we got into the car after it was all done. K said "Mom I was scared because it was 'Dark and dusty' up there". Hmmm...I wonder where it got "Dark and dusty" from? Oh wait...Toy Story 3!

First Day of School

Here is a LATE post of K. and L.'s first day of school. K. loves his school! He did work his magic and the bus picks him up one day a week (the other days I am picking up L. from school so I just pick K. up from school since I am already in town).

My favorite story so far of K. this year in school was when I picked him up one day and the first thing he said to me was "Mom, I was a very naughty boy at school today" he had big tears running down his face. I asked "What happened?" He said "Well... I just threw rocks mom, I just threw rocks. And the teacher got mad at me!" there was a pause "Mom I will never be a naughty boy again at school"......So the next day I dropped him off and as he entered the classroom he said "Mom I wont throw rocks today, okay. I will be a good boy." It was one of those mother moments when you knew your kid learned a valuable lesson. So cute!

This is L. first year in preschool. She is only 2, but it just so happened that her school went the same day and times as K. and I needed some study time of my own, so I signed her up! I am so glad I did, she LOVES it! Her teacher is the BEST! Every class day the teacher lets the kids pick a toy (very awesome toys!) and L. can't wait to show me her toy for the day.

About a month ago L's teacher did a evaluation of how well L. was learning this year in preschool. A lot of the questions were more appropriate for kindergartners but she asked them anyways. One of the questions was "What is your address?" L's response "Grandpa's House" the next question was "What is your phone number?" L's response "right here".... It cracked me up that she even knew to say Grandpa's house.

{Thanksgiving}

Thanksgiving this year was an extremely hard holiday to get through. Not because I had nothing to be thankful for, because I have never been so grateful in my life then I am now. My little family and I have truly been blessed with strength, love, support and the list goes on...

We had Thanksgiving at my Sister A.'s home. She did a fantastic job with the food! I would have to say this year topped off ALL the previous years in the food category! I want to thank her for inviting me and my kids to her home. The kids had a blast with there two cousins. Everyone on my side was there except my Sister P. and her little family and my older brother G. and his little family.

L. Always the princess!

My lil bro calling the parents wondering where they were.

Cousin M. and K. (I have never seen K. stick out his tongue before?)

L. would not smile..she is a hoot!

Halloween 2010...

The kids had SO much fun this year! They picked out their very own pumpkins in Grandpa & Grandma R.'s Pumpkin Patch. K. was Lightning Mcqueen's Pit Crew and L. was a Flower Fairy. We were so lucky to spend the night Trick or Treating with the cutest little kitten ever, Baby S.

SuMmEr FuN!

My kids have two loves in these pictures...Their BOOTS and THE GARDEN! Whenever I can not find K. he is out in the garden picking beans. Every morning he wakes up 7:30am, puts his boots on (sometimes he forgets) runs out the the garden, picks a hand full of beans, then runs up to my room and says "Mom, its time to wake up. I already picked the beans. Lets go cook them to eat"...I LOVE him SOOO much. He is obsessed with the garden!
